Change Is Us

Take action

Climate activists are sometimes depicted as dangerous radicals.

But the truly dangerous radicals are the countries that are increasing the production of fossil fuels.

Investing in new fossil fuels infrastructure is moral and economic madness.

António Guterres, UN Secretary-General

We need to have an open and honest conversation with our communities and our leaders about the state of our planet, its ecosystems, and our future. Our governments aren't speaking truthfully about the reality of climate change and their failure to properly address it. There needs to be transparency, climate change action, and accountability. Unless we come together — and refuse to take no for an answer — it will be the same routine politics until it's far too late.

Only by building a greater awareness by getting together and using our collective voice to call politicians to real action, can we begin addressing the global need to combat climate crisis. The organizations below are established and provide options for you to join in ways you feel comfortable.

350.org
350.org is building a global grassroots movement to solve the climate crisis.
Focusing on ending fossil fuel use, 350.org provides many different ways and trainings to get involved with a local group — from demanding banks end fossil fuel investments to regenerative agriculture.
extinction rebellion
XR is Beyond Politics - we are not bound by political lines or cultural lines, just as the Climate and Ecological Emergency crosses those same lines. We do not back particular governments or particular political parties. XR's Third Demand is part of what makes us different - "Government must create and be led by the decisions of a Citizens’ Assembly on climate and ecological justice."
Extinction Rebellion is a decentralised, international and politically non-partisan movement using non-violent direct action and civil disobedience to persuade governments to act justly on the Climate and Ecological Emergency.
Citizens' Climate Lobby
We empower everyday people to work together on climate policy. Our supporters are organized in 420+ chapters across the United States building support in Congress for a national bipartisan solution to climate change.
Advocating for a carbon fee and dividend approach to cut down fossil fuel usage, Citizens' Climate Lobby has many local chapters and offers climate advocate training.
republicEn
Nobody should sacrifice their conservative values to protect the environment and our future. Our conservative values are not only part of our identity, they are key to effective climate solutions.
Standing for a carbon tax on fossil fuel extraction, republicEn provides resources and training to petition officials, write letters to the editor, or publish op-eds.
